An opening line from one of my poems:

My sin is

I was born as southern white trash.

Hailing from Dothan, I'm your average, simple southern male. I cannot issue forth degrees or publications to validate my ability as a writer. There are none. Perhaps I'm not even a talented writer. But I carry inside an ongoing love affair with the lightness and darkness of the human spirit. I'm anchored deeply to the geography of my home state. And I believe in staying true to my writing voice, some rules by damned. These are the foundations for my writing style.

My mission here is simple: to hone my craft and to meet poets who inspire me to better every single day. If you read this, I want to thank you for your time. And I look forward to reading your works!
