I practice architecture in Fairhope, Al. New to the world of poetry, I began writing as a means of exploring my appreciation of nature. My writing has expanded to include issues common to all - sickness, anger, family, and love. I exercise my passion for nature through sketching and painting botanicals, gardening, and getting in my kayak as often as possible. In order to learn about poetry and have the opportunity to work with others who are striving to find their voice, I joined WIN (Writers In Nature), a writing group based at the Mobile Botanical Gardens. The group is led, inspired, and taught by Sue Brannan Walker.
